they were unexpected. I heard a story of a guy sleeping in his beach side cabin. waking up as he is being washed out to sea. He grabbed onto a telephone pole and then another wave hit he got thrown away from that and ended up stranded on top of a house waiting to be rescued. He also lost his friend who he was with.

Are u being serious?????
Lets see they drown, they get slammed then drown- something slams them then they drown, when a wall of water smashes on top of you and everything else in its path is pretty much finished

the 3rd video is scary...
Tsunami is no jokes, if u have every swam in the ocean (I did, not a lake), you will know what it is all about.

It sucks, I rented the day after tomorrow yesterday, and it's happening in real life. I heard the toll is up to 50,000. Another disaster, just what the world needs
The first one would make me shit my pants

i dont think A~G gets it.. the water just keeps rising and rising man, until there is no ground, or nothing to hold on to, and not to mention the under tow is sooooo strong and it rips u out to sea.

i heard on the news that where the earthquake was....10km deep in the ocean, the water at the bottom was moving 700km/h. where the water level was 1km deep it was moving 300km/h and when the water was 100-50 meters deep the water at the bottom was moving 50km/h.
they say that even if the water was 2 feet deep, it would still hit you with enough force that would be out of control and either slammed into something or drowned.
