^ I was 18 when I got my first car, a CRX and I was only paying $110 at that time! My cousin is 25 and drives a m3, he only pays $210/month. How come you guys have such high rates? Lots of tickets I take it?

You have to remmber that when you were 18...was 9 years ago...rates have CHANGED....
your cousin is 25...thats the age where the rate changes ...

SOme of you are paying too much even in mid-20s!

My insurance was $80/month for 93 325is, i'm 25 years old! M3 would cost no more than $100/month (e36)

Even in my early 20s insurance on a 325is was like $120/month max.

Very first time when I wanted to look for 2 door E30 I was quoted 250/month basic from ING.(Just got my G2)Almost 2 years later I came to the same office near local mall..Again I ask for the same car/year just 4 door and bitc__hes want $420/month basic.Clean driving,no nothing.It's not about tickets ,it's about legal scumm bs .

on my e30 its 1200 (under my dad) once i get my 96 328is (this week) it goes up to 3800 (this is all a year) now that second price is under my name and with my 5% discount (1 year driving)

this is in BC too..im not sure if Ontario is better or not but frick its crazy.

i moved to Toronto 2 1/2 years ago from BC. Insurance in BC is like no other. When I bought another car here, I was shocked at the insurance prices. With 30% discount, I was paying 90$/month in BC. Here, I was quoted as high at 600$/month on a 13 year old car with basic insurance. Finally found insurance for 275$/month, and I'm happy, go figure..

Ontario should definately get rid of the privitized insurance.
