Haha Jasper, that pic was the filter that came out of my car a couple years ago. I'm probably gonna change it again next spring. If you think your AC doesn't blow cold enough then change this filter and you'll freeze your ass off.

ah ok.. good, I was planning on changing mine anyway.. my heater isn't blowing as hard as it should be... I suspect the microfilter is the culprit. Good deal, going to pick up a CDN Tire one up tonight and put it in tomorrow.

Sure.. tomorrow good for you? I'm 99% sure I know where it is, since I've dismantled my dash board before. I think I have a write-up on it as well. As long as it's not too cold tomorrow...

what's your sched like?

It's a special order (just like most parts for BMW from CDN Tire), so no stock, but ETA is within a day or so. Also, some of those parts counter guys didn't know where/how to look it up in the computer, I had to get the manager to find it, sorry, I wish I had the part number here at work.

micro filter

Wasabi,

Any chance you can find out that part number? I ordered one and when I went to pick it up...it wasn't the correct one. Box actually said 1998 BMW E46. AND it was about 2 feet long by about 4" wide. Picture inside the box indicated that it was to fit just in front of the firewall instead of inside the cabin behind the HVAC stack. Supplier was Micron Air and it was $24.30. I'm sure a lot of us would benefit from knowing the exact part #. Hope you can help.....

Thanks,
Rico
