yeah there's actually a breakout box you can get which will split the image up into different signals... had one on my 486 DX2-66 which split the image into 12 signals. (4 monitors across, 3 monitors high). Bought it back at the computer show.. you know.. once upon a time, when the computer shows were actually worth going to.

Gamite - a friend of mine has a flight sim... made his own plane in the basement.. similar to that LCD set up you posted. I'll see if I can get a pic off him to post it up... definately the most insane setup I've ever seen. He's a retired navy seal... made his own flight sim in the basement. :S

Adam... that's not very criical. Usually what you'd see is just what's on the middle monitor, of if panned.. that monitor and one on either side of it.

It allows you to see what's going on at the sides at air level... I doubt ground level is as critical, thought it would be nice.

For peripheral vision...plus he can always scan around for a landing strip or something. When you drive, do you only look straight?

guys I wasn't serious... guess i have to work on my sarcasm.

p.s. an easy explanation to my comment would have been 'sight compensation'... its like your blind spot (where the optic nerve leaves the eyeball) you don't notice it not being there b/c your brain compensates for the 'blind spot' ahhh whatever... basically i'm sure it woouldn't matter.
