17's is the biggest pretty much anyone would reccomend, I'm not sure on tire size though.
Don't put anything too heavy on though, your car won't move!

How big? Well, there are 19" tire options, so the sky is the limit. I'd have trouble believing any M10 car needs more than 225's on 15's though.

Those are undersized. From a diameter equivalent to stock (195/65/14), you'd be better off with 205/50-16 or 225/45-16.

Pffft, I wouldn't take advice from you. To scale, you have like 485/30/45's on that E30.

I figured he made an error. 195/60-14 is a fairly common size and could easily have ended up on his car. So you're saying '84 318i's have 195/60-14's stock tires and not 195/65-14's? Well I just learned something.

Im saying thats what he said, ppl do make mistakes........I checked tirerack, and they have 195/60-14 listed, so he was right about his car.
our 325s are different

Yeah, early cars (even some etas) had 195/60/14's stock. But hey, since I run that tire size and it's considered in the acceptable range of size difference, it doesn't really matter. The fenders never changed, and the smaller size really doesn't look good. Most upgrade to later-style sizing methods anyways.
