probably meant $5,000 and autotrader typo'd 50,000

and $5,000 was to safety the car because it at one point was beaten to shit.

Its funny when people selling a car always say they 'invested' xxx amount of dollars in a car. Last time I checked, youre actually doing the opposite as you rarely see any money return on a car that depreciates by the year.
