Dash Lights

I remember Clarence telling me that there is someone on the board that can fix the lights in the dash.The ones i am talking about are the ones located in the information area where it says CHECK OK.

Is it just the bulb that burnt out? You just have to take your cluster out and change the bulb.

In this case you might be better to get another cluster off ebay... they all fail at one point of another.

If you are replacing the cluster you will have to have the dealer re-program the mileage on the e39 cars...

Check out this link on removing and replacing the cluster.
http://www.vdorepair.com/ClusterRR/I...40i/Remove.htm

Do a search on missing pixels in instrument cluster.

I have posted instructions on removing the e39 cluster in the past on this forum...

Cheers and welcome to the e39 missing pixels club,

//Fern
