Yokohama AVS Sports

At the begining of the summer, I was torn between summer tires. I had the stock Dunlop SP Sport 8080's on my car which I absolutely tore to shreds

Anyways, I was looking at purchasing either the Michelin Pilot Sports, Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's or the Yokohama AVS Sports. I did a tremendous amount of research and decided on going with the Yoko's because they were about $600 cheaper than the Michelins (which I really wanted) and were about $400 cheaper than the Pirellis. Anyways, I've had the tires for about 7,000kms and they haven't been bad. As a student, I can't complain for the money that I paid. However, one issue that I myself and others have had, is the noise of the tire. It does get quite noisy. The tread wear has been pretty good, given that I am an agressive driver. Anyways, for those of you who were/are/going to be in the same position that I was (torn between tires), http://www.tirerack.com really helped in making my decision. Here's a link that compares the Yoko's to bridgestones and some others: http://http://www.tirerack.com/tires.../avs_sport.jsp

Anyways, just my two cents
