Think about it: on a turbo car, how much of the time is it being used...now compare how much NOS is used (and in which cases) and you might see what i mean by "fake"....

not all the time hes gonna be hammering it though, and why not use nitrous besides straight line? it wont help his wallet but..say hes on the street, we all know his tires wont loose traction and everything become blurry and instantly he'll be doing 50km+ more like in the movie lol, the nitrous works at WOT, and same with a blower (e.g. moes truck) the power is there when u need it, otherwise u dont go into boost, or use the nitrous cuz it wastes more gas..

shave the head and bore the valves... over sized valve... cost, under $1000 and will gain you about 50-60hp... combine that with a chip... you're laughing. another good one, don't know what emission laws are like where you are, but straight pipe the exhaust... get rid of the catalytic.. 2.5" pipe... trust me

Have you done this? Because both $$$ and HP figures are not realistic...

Your right Filip

straight pipe the exhaust... is not good at all cause i did it and had to put a hiflow cat to get some back pressure...I was actually losing power on take off.
geting rid of the catalytic will help a bit .
Now just like "aquito" I did pretty damm good with a 70 shot of Nitrous
My best time was 13.85sec on the 1/4 mile with a 200000km stock engine.

Now with the new Hi Compression 2.7Litres Stroker, acceleration is still not the same as Nitrous....
So i wil be putting it back in for next summer and get my acceleration Rush again

Thats pretty good! How long did the stock engine take the abuse of NOS?

Actually up to 70hp I do not see a problem for a stock M20 engine..
It is very strong...It can take lots of abuse trust me .

I went crazy and got it up over 100hp and i broke a piston ring...

But before doing so i went over 2 years starting at 50hp up to 75hp filling the bottle up to 2 times a month during racing season

All i broke was motor mounts and tranny mounts.....

On my stroker i had a 125hp fogger system but it was working with a Electronic Nitrous controller...
I tried it a few times and it was nuts....

So now the stroker is in the Convertible and this winter i am putting the 70hp wet system back in...
it's too much fun guys ..This nitrous beats any other mods i have ever done to my E30.

It has been done... numbers don't seem realistic cause they are "claimed" at the crank... i know some guys that have done it to there cars and that is around what they have gotten. As for dollar figures not seeming realistic, that is because that is what i can get it done for... when it comes to cars and how much, its all who you know and what you can do yourself.

See there is a problem with "claimed" #'s...I can claim my K&N gives me 20Hp but unless you have dyno test to prove it, its not worth much. When you say "guys and there cars" were they E30's? If not then the info is not relevent because a head/valve job might give 50Hp to a Viper, but it wont on an E30.

As for the price, dont quote $$$ that dont apply to the general public! Unless everyone can get it done at that price, once again the info is useless. Just because i'm in the business and can have an M50 in my car for less then $1500 it does not mean this is the going rate!
