Dateline - Street Racing/Weaving
Anyone see this tonight? It had the president of Teckademics on, and clips of Dado's old car. From what I've read over on dtmpower, this stuff was all filmed over 2 yrs ago (I believe) and dateline just kept putting it off.
Was pretty good!
Here is a link I found on teckademics east for everyone that missed it.

That's some crazy stuff...lol...CANYON racing? I was wondering when we would catch up with Japan.
But I said this once and I'll say it again...OPEN A DAMN TRACK that is CLOSEBY. Whoever can do this will be able to retire at 35, almost guaranteed.
Typical American style journalism...95% inflaming the problem, 5% (the mention of OPENING TRACKS) solution.

I saw it. I'm all for racing and having fun but not on the friggin public road or hwy where you could harm other people.
Some said it's their way of life to race on the road (on the video). Well maybe so, but they don't realize that it's not just "their way of life" when other inocent peoples lives are in danger due to them.

^^^exactly the reason i stopped driving when i get pissed off....i would always drive unsafe....weave thru traffic..hit insane speeds on public roads(e.g. 140 in a 50 zone..)
it's just stupid when u think about the pedestrians and innocent drivers you might hurt if you mess up.....definately not worth it...now when i'm pissed off i just workout...or go out with some frenz....
street racing=FCUKING stupid!

I saw it too. There were alot of bimmers actually. Some Mercs & rice of course. Some of those drivers are crazy. Especially those Canyon Racing. The Washington HWY Patrol has beefed up their cruisers too. THey are Using the Mercury Mauroter (sp?) How much Power do they have? I know its a 8cyc.

It's a Murcury Marauder...302HP
But with power to weight ratio, 13.89lb/HP
A 330i's power to weight is 14.4lb/HP
Just remember that Marauder's can't turn and you'll be fine.

To say the least.
One thing to put yourself in danger.
It’s my opinion it’s your life, you set the boundaries of how close you care to meet your maker.
It’s quite another to place innocent people at risk....
