Looking to Buy an X5...

And so my dad will be selling The Ford Explorer to buy an X5... is there anything to look out for when buying an X5? Any problems that normally occur?

ps. I will be posting details of the explorer once i get time.

IMO, test drive them both, once u drive the 4.4, i bet you won't want the 3.0 ...thats the way it was for my dad anyway...the ride is very car like..and the manuoverability is phenomenal!...we settled for an rx300 because we just couldn't find an x5 in the condition/price/colour we wanted at that specific time.

And by 2002 i think they fixed the minor elec. problems they DID have with the 01's...but they were very minor things and i haven't read about any other problems..but i'm sure theres lots i've missed since i didn't heavily research the car since we ended up getting the rx shortly after anyway.

get the 4.4 unless he's worry about gas, but buying a big car with a small engine can never be good

Chrome coming to the meet?

^^^ hey quack this might be a little sketchy.
the way i did it involved a u- turn on lawrence and midland... go south on kenedy and on lawrence make a left. go until you hit midland. at the intersetion you have to make a u turn b/c the street underbridge (where the mural is) is on your left but an island is in the way. the first street after the U turn, turn right. now there is some small building there.. last right turn (i think?) thats where the mural is. Low cars beware... you may bottom out... my buddys rx 7 almost bottomed out on the entrance.

hey quack... you may want to try this if this work before the meet b/c this is straight from a map to avoid a u turn.. not sure if it will work.

go south on kenedy... make a left on ellesmere. then follow ellesmere to midland. turn right on midland. then follow midland to lawrence. turn right on lawrence. and turn on the first street before the bridge on the right. and its the last building on the right. thats where the mural is... enjoy
