Death on the 407!!

Got killed tonight!

My wife and I were cruising the 407 on the way home from our Anniversary "date" - kids at jome with Grandma and Grandpa. 9pm.

Speed - a lazy 125kph, we're in the middle lane... I notice a car approaching from behind in the right hand lane - fast, headlights are really wide apart .. .. I tell my wife to check out this car, not knowing what it is, but could be something cool. It's a dark colour Diablo. He passes and slows down. We catch up, still at 125 with the cruise on, I slip my finger to the disengage button. Jokingly, I say to my wife.."I think he wants to race, why would he waste his time with my lowly 5?".

Next, buddy rolls down his window a little and sticks his hand out...no cigarette. He starts waving/pointing forward. Before I could say anything to my wife, my primal instincts take over and I'm in third gear and about to hit the rev limiter. The Diablo driver reacted quickly, and my front bumper never got past his door! In fact, by the time I hit the rev limiter at 170, he was 4 car lengths ahead. By the time I hit redline in 4th, about 220, the Diablo was GONZO!!!

Now I know how those ricers feel after I smoke them! I may as well have just left the cruise control on! I think an M5 may have trouble with one of these too?

But you see... you drive an awesome machine and he drove an awesome machine ... you smoke teh ricers cuz they try to show off... the lambo driver also was showing off but you should be proud that you lost to a Lambo and not a stripped Civic with B16 swap and a Turbo
