Second helping of rice
I went for a test drive Wed night after replacing a faulty ABS wheel sensor. When merging onto the 407 E at Markham Rd, I see there is a Red Civic in the right hand lane. So Iwant to make sure that I get ahead of it. He sees me and downshifts. The civic must have one of those juice can mufflers because it is LOUD! Still in the acceleration lane, I take it up to about 150 before I move in front of the Civic. I can still hear the Civic going WOT, so I ease it up to 180 in 5th gear until I'm sure he is close to his maximum speed and still close behind. Then I down shift to 4th and lay on it...SEE YAH!!! ...whoops...time to get off...9th line is my exit!!
Next time, I'd better be more careful ...At those speeds, it's not smart to stare at the mirror just to watch those headlights fall away...
Hah ha ha .... I love burning rice!
Oh yeah.... ABS/Trac is fixed!

Huh??? I thought a Ricer was a car with oriental roots.... I didn't know the driver counted too....Damn!!
Some rice has balls for sure...Surpra turbo, GS400, RX7 turbo... but I haven't had a chance for a good race with one of those yet. When that happens, my posting won't be about me teasing a car from a different class altogether. Maybe I'll be the one being teased!!!
As for the GS400, I was slowly reeling one in on 9th line S over the 407 bridge, but I only got my front bumper up to his front passenger door when I ran out of lane. Couldn't "close the deal". We both turned on to 9th line from the 407 ramp with me behind.

have to concur with ryou... supra is sick stock... and rx-7 is amazing when it's fixed up... wouldn't say those are particulary rice... 540 has balls the size of grapefruits... ...

Rice:
Car's with all show and no go.
Not necessarily confined to cars with 'oriental roots'.
Unfortunately, in my experience, most of them are.
Sleepers:
Cars with all go, and no show..... (My preference)
I've seen some 'oriental' cars that fit this criteria.
i.e. Stock looking Civics that can lay a beating.
Rare, but there are some around.
