man, it was really an amazing experiance, thoses pics of the stream, were a glacier stream, that I just stumbled accross while hiking up a mountain, it was absolutly crystal clear, and I stopped to drink at it too. the pictures just don't do it justice....I was just in awe, and it was so quiet except for the rushing water. and keep in mind most of these pics were taken in the middle of the night, because when I was there it was 24hours of daylight.

where in alaska did you go? Do you know where Barrow is? look in a map, its the most northern point in alaska, ive been there and you can only get there by plane as its tundra everywhere. there are NO paved roads, or any roads that lead out of that town. I ate whale too, cuz the inuits are allowed to hunt 2 per year i think it is

I didn't go that far north, I started off in Anchorage, then flew to Wales (closest to Russia you can get on land.), then from there I took a bush plane to Unimak Island, just off the Alaska Peninsula...
Didn't get a chance to eat whale though...maybe next time.

i dont know if id take a cruise, RV is the way, its simply stunning. We went from Whitehorse to Fairbanks and Dawson etc. And the beauty of it is you can sleep wherever you want so if you find a nice lake you like, you can sleep there, and when else have you gona fishing at 11pm with pure daylight?
