Your still missing the point though, your talkign about S2000 being fast on the highway. What about the city? Thats what I'm talking about, TORQUE. Honda = no low end torque. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Honda is a great track car, but on the city streets its crap to drive.

Yeah, he also changed his engine a couple of months ago. Maybe I'm misinform on 318 engines. I dunno. But new e46 m3 engines are sh*t for sure.

Also I meant that s2000 are slow on the highway. Also I'm maybe misinformed here. But all m3 vs. s2000 race stories, 0-60 s2000 wins, but on higher speeds m3 pulls.
I dunno, never raced it. But even if I would I would lose, cause I'm a shitty driver. Ask Randy, he saw me on BMWCC autocross.

That was my point.
Yes it will be costly, noone said it would be cheap. But it would be a sick set up.
I would take 332ti over m3 any day!!!!
You should consider that, 318ti's are pretty cheap these days. I know a guy in LA who has a blown compact ti w/ M3 engine. It runs 12 seconds flat!

I heard you did quite well on Autocross. Any idea why Rolled_out had to replace his engine? I redline my engine daily for 3 years straight and it never caused any problems, still ran strong for 11 years right till the day I crashed it, would have lasted another 10 years if I hadn't crashed it.

But now I'm babying my engine, going to take it easy for a while and only redline it once in a while just for kicks. I'm surpized the S2000 is slow on the highway, I thought thats what Honda's were good at. Not CIVIC! I mean like Prelude and Integras.

No seriously, I heard good things from people who were there. Anyways, he probably messed up his engine the same way he messed up his differential. Not good, hopefully he learned his very expensive lesson. I know I've learned many in the past 3-4 years ago.

I don't know how much the S2000 weights but my E30 318is scaled at 2650 lbs ..that's olny 350 lbs over the honda civic hatchback. So if i had 240 hp and 160 ft/lb. of torque like the S2000 has i'm sure i would be in the low 14's.
