Unhappy Suspension mistakes ????

Have anyone installed a 328is sports suspension on a 318is....I know they fit..but what was the ride like...was it too hard...or was it too soft...really need some feedback...When I first asked the question everyone (Mechanics) has been telling me that they will fit no problem...but I am now getting additional feedback that the suspension will cause nothing but is a quote from a guy in germany (i guess)

" A 2.8ltr i6 is much heavier than the 1.8ltr 4cyl.

So installing the srings and dampers of a 328 in a 318 will cause a very
siff suspension, and sure, then the front will be higher than the back.

It will a poor ride, very firm, uncomfortable, a higher front means a
unprecise steering at higher speeds. A higher nose will destroy aerodynamics
(in general the nose shoukd be deeper than the back), all in all a stupid

J├╝rgen "

Ouch !!!!

In retrospect, Jurgen is proberbly right, and I just wasted a few hundred bucks (chuck is in the midst of putting them on now) but
I wanted to get some feedback from you guys who may have tried this..and what happened ?
Rice is not nice !!!

If I remember correctly m50-m52 is only about 40-50kg more than m42-m44, so it's NOT much more.

I definitely don't think the ride will be uncomfortable, a bit stiffer perhaps but in no way uncomfortable. Also sport suspension is about what ~0.5inch lower than normal one? So in the worst case your ride height should stay about where it is now.

just my $3.19..

Let us know how it turns out.

Re suspension

I proberbly fell asleep when they went over this in shop class...but why would the ride is harder if the weight on the springs is it because of the spring rate..?
