Brullen Exhaust

I am thinking of getting a new exhaust, and a friend of mine suggested Brullen. Personally I have never heard of the company before, and I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about them? Anyone have one for their bimmer?

Thanks

I'm getting Brullen to do an exhaust for my M50 powered E30 as soon as the engine is in!

Thanks for the reply '88 325e, another question...

well not really a question, but the new exhaust that I want to get is going on the m3 I have on order right now. I have been looking at ACS and Eisen, and both are far more expensive than the $850 Brullen exhaust that the thread you linked me to, kinda feel like I'm going cheap on my car, should I get a more expensive exhaust? but does the extra money give back greater quality?

Thanks

I have a Brullen on my 91 318is and it's not that loud, and it sounds even better on BMW 6's. I've also had a tour of the Brullen shop where everthing is 1st class, don't be fooled just because they are cheaper, everything is 304 stainless steel including the material for the welds. If you have the head office do the installation for you, they will even use the same high quality stainless steel hangers, which most shops will not. Highly recommended.

He is so right! Here is an example...Ractive says thier product is stainless but the welds are not so the rust starts at the welds and it will fall apart! I know because my original DTM tips that came with the car did just that! I say go with the Brullen because of the fact it is a true stainless and they will tune it to your liking!

Brullen has been in business a while (family owned) and produce top notch work.... call 1-800-BRULLEN and book an appointment if you want a custom system. I got one custom made for my dad's euro-spec.... they used a bigger can with extra packing (upon request) to keep the noise down so now it sounds very classy, not obnoxious at all.... Think of it as paying less because you live in the city where it's made... not lesser quality.

Randy,

If you don't mind me asking, how much did your dad's exhaust cost? This is exactly what I am looking for .. the Brullen looks and quality without the overly loud sound.

Also, can Brullen build and install the exhaust in a day or does it take longer.

Thanks

Brullen will build you an exhaust in half a day while you wait. The cost of my dad's system was about $850 (tax in) installed which is very reasonable considering the lifetime warranty and build quality.
