Question about tire & rim width
Will a 225 width tire fit a 6.5" rim?

No. And if it did, it would handle horribly, tramlining everywhere.

I just came across Goodyear's site and it says that 225/50/16 fits on approved rim width 6.0-8.0. So is this correct or not?

225 on a 6" wide rim is kinda sketchy, it would be better on a 7" wide rim

Thanks for the help guys. I asked a tire guy and he said it should be fine. I didn't realize my stock rims were 7", I thought they were 7.5" so putting them on a 6.5" will be ok.

that'll give it a meaty look..but the tires are gonna run around once they get broken in...response will be slower and you'll have less feel too...
