aint this a bitch..

heres my current struggle on the new e30,this car used to have a vinil roof on it.The previous owner thought it was possible to pull it off and get the sunroof working again(YOU CRAZY FCKR!! )anyways after looking at all my options, the only one i had was to weld it in and seal it...im just gonna repaint the roof and hide the huge holes on the sides with a vinil strip. The plan was not too much work on this thing,so the vinil is on and the roof is looking good, you will barely know it ever had a sunroof by the end of tommorrow..but WHAT A BITCH OF A JOB!!!!wet sanding and makeing sure its leveled off all around!!ive been working on it for 4 days!!!

10,000 years ago, a friend of mine did that to his beater. He made a hole in the roof as big as he could, riveted a sheet of plexiglass over the hole and caulked around it. Half-assed, but it was original! It gave an "aquarium" feel to the car.

Vinyl Roof? I might be tired but I keep picturing the entire roof covered in that tacky rubbery shit used on lincon town cars.

Is your tint sparkly?
