CF Hood For E39

well my hood is kinda messed up small damage all over the hood, I was checking around for aftermarket hoods, all I found was Racing Dynamic CF hood, now I'm not a big fan of CF, but the price is right $625us, and I also like to reduce weight to my heavy beast, my car is also black so the CF won't be notice that much, I need opinions or info about other aftermarket hoods

I heard some horror stories about CF hoods ...
are they urban legends?

well .... starting with .... them rattling and flaping ....
then them shredding in accidents and debris flying arround hurting people
and last - one hood braking off on someone's honda and slicing the driver while at high speed ...
I am pretty sure that the quality can vary ... and not all the hoods kill people .... just something to consider when buying one -
in other words - CF hood does not mean good ... well built CF hood is

those aren't horror stories, that can happen with any kind of hood, of course not all CF hoods are good, I just wanted to know if there are any alternative for aftermarket hoods for the E39

my hood has a huge dent in it, and I had it repainted already last year, not having much luck with this hood, I don't want a M5 front, I already have a something in mind,
I understand what you mean Zimmie, but I thought since my car is black it won't stand out that much
