Best ALL ROUND exhuast for E46 M3?

Hey all. I was talking to my father today, and I couldn't believe what he told me LOL. He said he just hates the stock exhaust (which I told him the day he brought it home lol, WAY too raspy) and wants to get a new exhaust. Obviously, the first word out of his mouth was DINAN, BUT I want to know you guys opinions. Now, keep in mind, this cannot be that loud (similiar to Dinan, not too loud but you can certainly hear it). Any and all info would be appreciated. Cheers,

Brad

If you dont want something loud, stay completely away from any Titanium exhaust. They are loud. Eisenmann sport or performance is not loud. Dinan to me sounds to ricer actually. RD sport is also not loud nor is ACS, ACS is actuallly very nice sound to it.

Well, looks like it has to be Dinan. The car only has 16,000kms on it, so there is plenty of warranty left, and he does not want it to be affected. Either way, I've heard Dinan and really like the way it sounds. He is also getting a Dinan software program, and I am TRYING to convince him to get an intake with matching software as well, but we'll see. Either way, I'll post pics/reviews when it gets put on in about 3 weeks (we'll be in Europe for two weeks on the 14th, probably get it done when we get back).

The Dinan system does not sound that great, plus only one side of the tips work. Your warranty will not be affected byt he muffler, only the exhaust warranty will be voided. Personally I dont like the black tips either. Good luck. If you are going to do Dinan I would recommed Eingeered Automotive then,, they were teh first Dinan dealer in Ontario.

Check out the Borla system. It flows more than the Eisenmann Ti, and sounds great (not too loud, nice rounded sound).

However, the only exhaust that almost gets rid of the rasp is the Eisenmann. To completely get rid of it, you need a Rasp-X or race headers or both.

I vote Borla Plus, you get t304 stainless and the quality of one of the best manufacturers around!

I have the Eisenmann, the rasp is there, all of them still keep it fairly pronounced. Personally, I think the Borla sounds terrible, there are tons of members over at M3forum selling there after there was a large group buy. Another nice exhaust is UUC.
