it doesnt seem like a reputable shop at all but its 3 blocks from my hous so everything would be easy to do...i actually didnt ask anything about the paint but from what i was watching they do a good job..then again i dont know too much about painting cars.. They did and alpine white 325i e36 while i was there.

Ask around about the kind of work that shop does and if they warranty their work. Also sometimes easier being close to your house might not be better.

1500 for that kind of work I dont think they would strip the car to paint it but rather just mask it which doesnt produce the best results but if youre on a budget or selling it then I understand.

Hopefully a member from this board has some connections that can get you a good paintjob for that kind of money. Good Luck

European Auto Body posted a paint sale here some time ago. If I were you, I will call to get the details of the work they do for the posted price and compare with your neighbourhood paint shop. $1500 sounds too good but you never know, maybe they make their money by volume and maybe they're just starting out and trying to get more customers in.

You get what you pay for with paint, I'd spend more at a higher end shop.

Really? You guys have good prices over there in Germany. Here in Canada, we're suspicious about the quality of a $1500 (CAD) paint job.

for a complete rust removal job... and a good complete paint job... 1500 isn't that much...

but it depends how much rust you have... and how much you're in need of a new paintjob...

That's fantastic price! Here, it will cost you about CAD$2500 to CAD$3000 for a good paint job.
