I thought it'd be a lot worse by the sounds of it. He musta clipped the rear for her car and spun it around since all the damage is done to his corner. I thought the impact was straight-on. Glad to hear Dave's okay. Do we hear Mk3 VR6 now???

He hit her on the rear door....then spun her....It wasnt head on because at the last moment he cut the wheel to the right (if you look at the pics, the tires are still in the same position!).

No, the red stuff is paint on the floor....the rest is mostly coolant and power steering fluid....

that sucks. Hope insurance takes care of him (yeah right). I also highly doubt he was travelling at 50km/h on impact, that's the TÜV speed required for offset/frontal crash tests and his damage doesn't compare at all to any of the pics I saw from the German DOT (VW's included). I'd say impact looks more like 30km/h.

my baby....gone

I am beginning the insurance fight, they said they would cover the car...stock mark2 $2500. I told them i want more so now i'm faxing all my receipts etc. I've got the edge b/c most mods were done in last 2 weeks...so i told them i didn't have enough time to properly inform them

As for the impact speed...it was at 60kph. I tried swerving around on right side but she panicked when she saw me and hit the brakes. My front left hit mid on her door then we both spun and i finished off her rear door. So now the real question is.

Mk3 VR6 or Mk3 2L turbo????

any suggestions?
