Talking Who set the intermittent wipers on their E36?

Now, I know some of you guys never touched the intermittent wiper programming thing.

I wanted to, but I'm just soo lazy. I just thought of that since it was pouring tonight...Come on.. admit it.

I think you turn on the intermittent, then turn it off, the back on when you want them on again. The wiper then wipes intermittently for the time you had the wiper off. Like you turn the wipers on to intermittent, turn them off for like 10 seconds, then turn them back to intermittent, they'll wipe every 10 seconds. I think that was how it worked.

I think I was able to do the same thing in my mom's 525i too. Read you owner's manual, it's in there.

Damn, I didn't know you can do that!? All this time I use to wonder why BMW never put in a better intermittent wipers. They took it one step further by letting you adjust it to your need..wow!

lol, I didn't know that either. Though I do like it when you have it set to the middle, and when you slow down to a stop, it stops too.

But yeah ... I use RAIN-X too, good stuff !

i always thought they move depending on the speed ur moving.

like when u do 40 km/h it moves every 10 sec (example only)

and when u do 140 km/f maybe every 3sec

i read that somewhere but dont remember anymore where.

and yeah RAIN-X is sick!!!

mine changes with the speed of the car, the faster I go the less time between wipes. Does this setting it manually over ride the automatic speed adjustment?

really... I'm gonna go check that out..

I want to slow down the wipers because I use rainx and I hardly need the wipers at all.
