BMWCC Autocross this Sunday!! (Apr 18th)

Guys, this is the first autocross for the season... if you want to come try it out, this is the time to not be embarrased since everyone will be rusty. $57.00 yearly BMWCC membership required (insurance reasons)... every autocross event afterwards is $15.00 ea.

CAUTION: very addictive

Location: MDS Sciex Parking lot located at 71 Four Valley Drive, Concord (NE corner Hwy 400 & Langstaff).

8:30AM Sharp!

Talking

I'd Love to try it Randy , But I think it's a fine line between using and abusing your car ! And like you say it's likly very adictive ...
Mayby I'll stop in and check it out , on the way to Yorkdale .

Driving hard is only abusing if you don't do the maintenance.

Its not abuse, perhaps might be on older cars.

Damn, it's my exam week
Oh well, maybe in May then.

Hey I "abuse" my stock Volvo at the auto-x and it's still running. I'm not braggging, but the auto-x that we do with the BMWCC doesn't seem as dangerous as the Ontario Solo II or other big divisions else which invovle higher operating speeds and mandatory requirement of helment. You're pretty much only driving around with 1st and 2nd gear. I personally think in the bigger divisions you abuse your car more than in the BMWCC that we do.

Flame away!

I wouldn't really call it abuse, it's just using the car for what it was designed for. Plus what is the point of making your car accelerate and stop faster, and handle better if you can't reap the benefits on the street.

Plus auto-x can show you your limits, the limits of your car, which will make you a better driver on the street.

It can be competitive if you let it, but above all it's fun. I love it.
