it's tough to get a good pic with the sun in the picture too... the camera will automatically adjust, and you'll end up with your car silhouetted...

Spot meter a mid-tone shadow section of the primary subject and recompose. Voila, automatic compensation! In a high contrast scene like the one above you might notice a +2 EV over-exposure compensation or thereabouts. The trade off is the very light areas of the picture become overly bright, but that's acceptable if you want to be able to see the main subject clearly. Lowering the ISO may also help reduce the contrast in some cases but be prepared for longer shutter speeds.

wow, i still remember that how i went onto the snowy grass to do donuts and almost got stuck.. and how u were getting pissed off cause we went into an icy part and we had to push your car out, lol
