Thumbs up AA SC is on it's way :)

Hey Guys;

Just ordered an AA SC kit for my z3... should be here in about 2 weeks. Karl from AA is going to do a custom tune for my car since I also have M3 cams and the M50 intake manifold (currently the JC cam kit, complete with JC software - around 210 RWHp).

Should be fun... my entrance into the FI world... FYI AA is having a 10% sale right now on all their products, kits, etc...

Best regards,

Yes, that's right around 210-215 at the wheels (probably a bit more since the Z3 has a lot less drivetrain loss compared to the 3er's)... (http://www.sharked.com/pdfs/28cams.pdf). Havn't dynoed mine yet, but I will before the SC install. Basically in the 3.2Ltr US M3 territory. I'm going to keep the cams and the manifold. The supercharger on a stock SC is rated 320 hp at the crank. With this setup I should see a lot more torque (due to the cams) and perhas some more top-end hp due to the manifold.

I'm looking at doing my exhaust and headers before the SC since then I can get the software specifically tunned to this final setup. I'm looking forward to it, has been and will be a fun project!

Well with all this power, how bout some control, whatta you plan on doing with brakes (brembro 4pot 14" HINT HINT), and suspension maybe (nice fully dampening coilover system, or slap some 20" chromes and throw some HYDROS on her, for a PIMPIN sleeper!) And what kinda rims ya planin on gettin, c'mon, fill us in!

SOLDOMATIC 325i, I have rims already 19" Breyton Imagines (SO3 tires 275s and 245s) for show; along with my lighter weight OEM 17"s for go...

I'm just in the process of getting the suspension setup in order. RD Sway bars (already shipped), GC suspension. Brake wise, I'll be installing the M3 front brakes (calipers, spindles, carriers and zimmerman rotors) probably this coming weekend (if I can pick them up this week from the seller and if the weather permits me to get my car out of storage).

My basic goal is to get the car fully done up in the next two months as to be ready for the summer I'll be doing most of this work myself along with bill (z3 97 2.8 - from this board) and chris.

The todo list contains:

- SC install
- Exhaust install
- Suspension/Brakes install
- LTW flywheel install

Thats awesome, i just realized you had the rims written in your sig!
What M3 brakes are you using, E36 or E46 ones?
your car is gonna be one of the baddest Z's i've ever seen, and it shouldn't be too hard to install it yourself, since its all pretty much just straight bolt on!
Anyhow, just a heads up, the RD sways, dunno from experience, but i have heard nothing but BAD things for these bars, not sure why, just compeared to other sways, there at the bottom of the list!

Thanks for the comments SOLDOMATIC 325i regarding the sways... I'll look into it, but from what i've heard it was the opposite in case of the Zee... I'll research that none-the-less.

Thanks,

T.

I'm impressed, I'm still following in your N/A mods, but the blower will be nuts. You should look into a 6-speed tranny, for more top end. See how fast you can go before the soft-top flies off.

I wonder if that 3.91 will be too low for use with the blower, you might not hook up in the first couple gears.

I can't wait to see your car in the spring at a meet sometime.
