I just went through my broker at PC Financial. They do all the foot work for me and find me the best rates. Right now i'm paying i believe $70 a month for insurance as a 2nd driver. My father is the manditory driver. I think he pays very little extra though, maybe $100 for the year.

I have Scottish and York, I only recommend them because they paid for all the expenses when my car got totaled. They didn't give me a hard time either, just asked me a few questions and gave me a very generous offer for my totalled car. I got the highest value for my car, it pays off to keep your car in good condition, constantly wash and wax.
