A/C delete mod......

I think other e30 owners will feel the same when there A/C doesn't get that cold in the summer. I never used it last summer and it has a new condenser.

Anyone got a link or info on removing the system? The way I see it, it is just added usless weight.
Thanks
Jay

Easy.. remover the rad, un bold the pump, take out the glove box and center console..

take of any bolts on the lines, you might have to cut one of the hoses that goes from the a/c rad around the bumper.

Then RIP it out!

it's possible on 318's, but on 325 you would have to mount the fan in front of the rad and remove the A/C rad.. but the fan in front doesn't work as well

why do u have to remove the dashboard/globow/centre console? isnt the AC in the engine compartment?

Parts of the a/c are around the glovebox. The expansion valve is there, and some piping

what i fi wanted to remove the stuff form the engine bay ONLY!
the reason for that is, last time my dashboard was taken apart(by "PROFESSIONALS"), it kept creaking/shaking etc after it was put on. i dont want the same thing happening on the e30... Id rather have that stuff in there, than a ****ed up dashboard...what exactly is in the engine compartment that is apart of the AC?

Don't worry i'm not a bitch.. i won't burn you like that bro.. i may make fun of your car a little but i wouldn't make it rattle!

I hate rattles too!

im talking about the extra 5 lb weight reduction by removing the rest of it.. and the cooler in the air box really does get all clogged up and restricts air coming in. so it's up to you.. i shoveled about a cup full of dirt and leaves outa that thing. and i feel 100 times better about life after doing it!
