Red face Which E46 should i get ?

HI all,

Well after having my 04' altima for 4 months i have realized that im a bimmer man or bust so im now looking for a

2000-2001 either 325ci or 328ci ( would love the 330ci but not happening with my pay at ibm)

Any engine particualrly better ? advantages/benifits ?

After being raped hardcore by my last 96 328i i wanna make sure i dont get screwed with repairs like the last time...

Do you think leasing a new 325ci is a good idea ? i was thinking about it since it will elimanate the worry of repairs but it will also restrict me to just tinting the windows and throwing my rims on ( and full clears of course) dont wanna be spending big $$ on a car i will probably giving back after a 3-4 year lease..

Any thoughts ?

1. Leasing cars is pissing away money.

2. M54 E46's (01+) have lighter steering and an annoyingly light gas pedal. I'm serious, drive one back to back with an earlier model.

3. Buying new BMW's is a huge loss of money, the depreciation as you drive off the lot is damn scary.

The 328 was the best E46 ever made, minus the M. Drive all of them and you'll see what I mean.

Jay right on all three counts

I'd go '99 328ci if available. Lower purchase and possibly low milage. Lets face the facts, these cars cost a lot of coin.

if I were to buy I'd get the 328. everybody's right about the depreciation part. Most of the time it's smarter to buy second hand

Lease = waste of money.

Finance a car if you have to.

I have a '99 328i, I love it like crazy but I have had a lot of electrical problems with it and I've only had it for a year, but it drives amazing.

DON'T LEASE...you might as well flush your money down the toilet!!!!
It's true that the 328 is the best E46. A friend of mine has one and I drove it a few times, the ride is different compared to my 2003 325i
For some reason, it handles better and more rigid.

Leasing a car is a waste of money. Leasing any E46 that isn't a 328Ci or an M3 is retarded. Buy an E36 M3 for a lot less and use the rest on maintenance and/or mods.

I said keep the Altima, you take care of that baby, and she'll last you a lifetime.

You got the 3.5 altima??
From what i understand you got a altima and the 328,just trade in your 328 for an E36 M3 and keep the altima as a daily driven car.
