Rims or body kit???
I have a 98 540 and im thinking of either putting on a ACS body kit or getting some new 19" rims. I dont have enough money to do both right now. What do you guys think i should do first?

If it's not lowered yet, do that before either.
If it is, rims.

Springs then Kit then Rims.
you might find your rims don't look good with the kit, so its better to do the kit first

I have to agree with that!!! You can have the best rims or kit, but if your car looks like a 4x4 it wouldnt be good
Lower it first, then rims, then kit!

Im getting a real good deal on the kit as well as a exhaust and the car has the stock sport suspension already( i know stock is never good enough! haha) but im kinda straped for cash right now and if i get rims i wont be able to afford the tires for 19s yet. Im thinking once i get a job in the summer i can get some coilovers and 19s.
As well my rear bumper cover is cracked so the guy selling me the kit is supplying me one for a super deal.
But i know what you all mean, stance is important, i got H and R coilovers on my 02 M3 and it made the car look 100x btr even with stock rims.

this is the order i would follow...
- suspension (springs & shocks)
- wheels
- body kit

The e39 540 looks great without a body kit but, the mtech kit does look awesome. The ACS kit is a little over the top for my tastes
1) 3.45 lsd differential
2) Suspension
3) Rims and Tires

Save your money and do it all at once!
First do the kit so you know how much you can lower it. Second is suspension. Last thing to get is the wheels so you don't get into rubbing issues.
