Smile sunroof question

what do you guys think of a glass sunroof. i was looking though the book that came with my owners manual, the one with the factory add-ons. n e way it had a picture of a glass sunroof, so i called the bimmer dealer over here and they said they have one and cant get rid of it, they have had it since the early ninties! well they said that they would give it to me for $15.99 and install it for free!!!! i laughed at the guy and told him to stop fuc%%ng around and he told me he was serious. the question is do they look good and are they prone to leaking? i dont want to buy it and be like man this looks cool when its raining its like 3d and virtual reality because not only is it coming at me i feel it too! just would like to know what others think, i have never seen an e30 with glass sunroof, thanks.

this one is factory bmw, i am picking it up on saturday. it has a sliding cover that comes with it so you dont have to see through the roof all the time, and it works with all the hardware that i already have. the police ripped my headliner on the sunroof, so i was going to have it redone, but the upolstry(?) shop wanted like $200 for the parts and labor! that is because they wanted to use factory headliner and not a aftermarket one. i will repost the part number i have to walk to my car to get it.

Yeah the quality is not meant to be good and in my opinion they don't look very nice. I would stick with the normal sunroof but thats me, do what you want it's your car.

hmm i've seen it in the E30 catalogue kinda.
but it's kinda like a moonroof? where it's manually operated?

and the insulation's rubber which is also different from our sunroofs, or mine, at least...

hmm?

buhahahahahhahha

Anyways, lol, I'd pick it up. Is this like a moonroof on all the new cars out nowadays? Like with the cover for the inside if you don't want to see through the glass?

Also, my buddy in PA says that E28's also came with this roof and will fit the E30. As a matter of fact, they use all the same equipment.
