In desperate need of a honda and acura eater

Good day!
as you guys know, diesels do not make good racers! though, i did manage to beat a toyota camry solara the other day... anyways, when i was in high school i had a comaro, 305 high output. needless to say, every honda civic, and acura integra crumbled before me! then came the night where a let my girl drive my baby, she wrapped it around a phone pole, though we both walked away, i was still upset. for about 6 monthes, i was driving my car about 150km a day to work. you do the math, i had no money left! $20 a day! so to save money, i baught a diesel jetta. its great! i love it! but its slow, and has horrible acceleration. so, after about a year, i have decided i need a faster car. and i want something no one elce has. i am seriously thinking of a bimmer with a flat 6. just so happens, my neighbor has a 1990 325is, i think (no, he had no clue someone would offer him 10 grand after he paid $900 for it, its a rare limited edition bimmer. he did not know its worth when he baught it) anyways, i have been looking though the forms here on and off for about a monthe or so, well, i now want a bimmer. my question is, what model should i get? don't want to spend too much money on it. if i blow the engene or sometihng, i don't want to be out $50,000. what do you guys think i should get?

you mean you're thinking of a bimmer with straight 6 NOT flat 6 like a porche or subaru. i would suggest you can find some nice E30 325 from 1987 and up for good price .... and you won't be out $50,000 ... even though if you blow the whole car .... lol ...
or ten of them for that price ...lol...

There is no such thing as a limited edition 1990 325is. Also, an engine for that car used will not cost more than $1000.

Know what someone should do. Buy a civic in alright shape gut it out and drop a 305 in it and a new rear end. You would be like a spy. And it would be fun

No offence, I love thoe e30's bu that yellow M3 he has there looks like shit. its been repainted.. didnt do all the well of a job.. they know NOTHING about the car.. i called and they said it came from Germany. and thats it. the speedo goes to 300... which im almost sure they only went to 280...so that wasnt M. the car was backed up rubbing on the wall which left some nice scratches.

They have no records of mileage or what not.

Unless they do now.. all the power to them but i wouldnt buy it. Insurance will be cheeper on a E30 325is and for the moeny that you would pay for that 88' M3 you can make your 325is an M3 beater

lawnmowers, eh? i was thinking of using my Massey Ferguson farm tracter! i'd crush thoes honda's. either running it over when the owner is not in it, or use the loader to flatten it! haha

seriously though guys, thanks alot. my neighbour has decided to sell him bimmer, but, he'd rip me off in a hear beat. engine needs to be rebuilt.
i did buy a Pontiac Fiero, but i am thinking of giving it to my GF for a birthday present. needs a new engine. but i still want a bimmer! to hell with the eclipses, and the Impreza STI's!

that yellow e30 is way overpriced and been for sale for ever

the e30 m3 had 260 as the tope speed on the speedo

I dont trust cars brought over like that sometime, who knows if themileage is rolled back or not

need a quick car
check out the dodge omni glhs.
tiny car 250 horse 250 torque and will beat a lot of cars out there.
you can also put a turbo upgrade and make it even faster
or go for the 325is
