Exclamation Lowering Kit - COILOVERS

I'm thinking to get a coilovers for my car, but it seems like there are several options and I'm kinda confused with which one to get and their differences. I've seen some coilovers that are so cheap but they dont come w/ shocks ... I've noticed a lot of people are using:

- FK Coilovers
- Ground Control combined with Bilstein shocks ?
- H&R Coilovers
- etc.

Basically what I'm looking for is something that have height adjustable (stiffness adjustable, does this really effect ?) and something that can lower the car really really low

What is the price range for these coilovers ? I've seen some are around $1,200-$1,400.

Are coilovers comparable w/ normal lowering kit ?

I say go with GC's Kit with konis adjustables, better than Bilsteins.

If I can sell my damm Eibachs Pro Kit soon, I will buying the Coil overs, the Konis adjustables are in my bimmer already.

Plus the GC kit doesn't cost to much.

i think that they mean the koni are better than bilsteins for stiffer springs, because the rebound is greater. the bilstiens cnat cope with the stiffer springs because the rebound is not setup for them.

whatever u do DO NOT get GC's they suck major ass, and by now i know that you are more concerned on how low the car can go and how good of a ride you cna have. GC"s suck ass for that, and on top of that they dont slam the car at all. I have them and i regret ever getting them, they ride like shit as well, if i ever to do it over again i would def go for FK's it's what every other E#0 has in GErmany and it's not that much money. Of course the best coilover set-up for our cars is H&R, but costs way too much $$$

What model/year car will these be for? What other mods does the car have? What type of driving will the car be used for? What is your budget?

That is both surprising and dissapointing that you had such a bad experience with GC. My best guess is they were set outside the designed limited of the kit, were matched with the wrong dampers, had the incorrect spring rates or a combo of all these factors! I sell GC, FK, KW, H&R, Hiop, AC Schnitzer, Bilstein (maybe others?) and I can't say enough good things about the GC kits, providing they are spec'd and installed correctly. They are not as simple to plug-N-play as some kits, but can be set-up sweeter than just about anything else

Andre, are you saying that it's a poor ride because it's very stiff or what? I've been looking into suspension and I'm not interested in having a comfortable ride and I want adjustability and have been looking in GC Konis/Eibach. So, explain exactly what you mean saying that they're not worth it. I'm not defending GC, I just wonder what your opinion is of them more exactly, heh.

wat modifications do u have to do, to the rear when installing either GC of FK adjustable coilovers, since the shocks and springs are independant in my 325e

Gc's aren't a true coilover in the rear. It is a spring on ajn adjustable perch, and the shock is still independant. A real coilover in the rear requires a weld-in roll cage.

I have GC's and love it.

how about the fk coilovers, are they the same design as the gc, cuz ill proby end up just getting the the GC adj coil over springs minus the the shocks, cuz ill get something very stiff, for drifting
