auto to manual tranny

say i bought a 1993 auto 325i and i have a e36 standard tranny clutch and flywheel. what else would i need to do the conversion also would it be worth it?

probably not worth it unless you can find the parts cheap and do it yourself.

you need a lot, and it is a lot of work. Unless you are really attached to your car, its better to get a new one. But heres off the top of my head the parts i used. Also, the gearing changes drastically, as the auto final drive is like 3.91 and manual is between 2.9 and 3, so that makes top speed barely 120, and a horrible freeway cruising speed rpm, so a different geared differential would be a good idea as well.

driveshaft with guibo
slave cyl with hose
master cyl with hose
clutch and brake pedal housing
shifter linkage-almost $200 worth of dealer parts
possible new tranny brace
pilot bearing

Then there is some wiring to make the car start, and also to have reverse lights and cruise control. Finish with some fluids, and that should be about it.

how do the pedals match up. like is there a place to mount them of do u have to mount them urself by like welding something to the car? is it noticable after that the car was once a auto car?

not noticable at all. Everything is bolt-on stuff, all fitting very nicely. If you have knowledge to change a clutch, you'll figure it out. Oh, and get a bently manual.
