well, that's a ETA engine for sure, dunno if the head, for the all the tube coil position, AFM and filter box and buch of vaccum hoses it's defently a ETA...but that intake manifold looks like from some M20b25 or 325i

ETA is the 6 cyl Torquey engine famyli, but it doesn'r ev too much, how much says your tach, I mean wich is tha max rpm in yours, should be arround 4-5K RPM.
the engine is a 2.7L instead of a 2.5L
check this page.... Strictly ETA

My tach redlines at around 6k RPM but that might be because it is maybe still the 316i tachometre.

That doesn't look like a 325is head. Here's a pic of mine with the m20 still in it

The wierd thing is that mine doesn't have the oil filter up top. My oil filter is underneath on the side of the engine. Do you reckon that my engine is bits of different engines or what????

WHAT YOU MEAN WITH THTAT?
All the oil filter on M20 are in the mid-position in the right side of the engine(header side) at the bottom section...

I beleive that's the fillup tank for the power brakes/power steering.

My jeep has an indicated redline of 5500rpm, but the tach goes to 8000rpm and the engine revs to 7500 before it hits a revlimiter Stock too...
