previewing mp3's

is there any way to preview mp3' files (and see the actual audio waves without listenin to it. that way you dont kill your ears when your listenin to a song you just downloaded it and it all of a sudden goes all staticy
what do you guys do? i just generally have to listen to each song with the volume really low, until i knowthe song is good.? any suggestions

drag and drop the *.dat file in a winamp it should play it. if u r download an mp3 file

use a sound editing program (i recommend soundforge) and look at the audio waves (if thats what it's called ).... a quick glance should tell u if its a normal file or if its fcuked up

That pisses me off,i f*cking hate kazza.I download from Soul Seek these days and so far i dont get that annoying sound.
