Offset Questions

Question to all: What is the proper offset for an E36 for 18x8 wheels? It will be installed on a lowered car.. but only a wee bit lowered.

Thanks!

Factory offset for 16x7 is 46mm, i have 18x8 on my car with 40mm offset, 6mm more than factory and it fits fine under the fender.....and i've had it lowered 1.75" in the front and 1.50" in the rear.......

my 17x8's are 40mm also, same width, same offset I guess.
