New Pontiac GTO

What do you guys think about the new GTO?
I think itís a pretty sweet ride for GM anyways; they finally lost that crappy Delco interior style
nice dash, 6 spd tranny close-ratio
and the exterior styling is pretty slick
5.7 liter Gen III LS1 V8 350.

Not a bad car for GM in my opinion but it will never match the original GTO that thing is pure ball busting power!

Take the side picture of GTO and chop some Z24 numbers on it and then look at it again. I would say its a nice car for a crapalier.

Not worthy of the GTO badge but a decent start. Sad that GM had to import a rear wheeldrive V8 tho.

Hey, at least it's rear wheel drive, and not another front wheel drive V8. The price to power ratio is pretty good in my opinion.

The six-speed is also nice.

Sure it's still a GM, but oh well, if you're on a budget and want a new car, this can't be that bad.

I saw it in Detroit and it looked ok, definately a sleeper.

14 second 1/4 miles too, 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. And it actually pulls 0.88g's on the skidpad. Too bad it weighs 3800+lbs.

It also has 350HP and is still that slow even with that V8 in it.

the first designs of the gto i saw looked really nice,

they just shot it to hell and came up with this cavalier/grand-prix contaption that looks hideous tho

would be nice to buy after it depreciates a couple years

I think it's a good start in the right direction, I guess they have to at least try to compete in the market

I think the GTO is amazing! It would be the only GM car I would consider buying if I was in that market.

I like it's normal, non-flashy rental car looks and it's compact design.

I would have liked it to keep the Holden Monaro badges, or just the Monaro name.

GM has long since been putting past exciting names on dull FWD cars...eg. Impala, Malibu, Nova, Le Mans, Corsica, Monte Carlo etc...the GTO name on this car is a step forward for GM!

Car badly needs to go on a diet.

If that car were 400 lbs. lighter, it'd be a car to be recoded with.

LS1 V8 in her makes it easy to get the power going to nasty levels though.
