Question e30 vs all the rest

i have an old e-30 and was wondering what there like compared to a newer 3series handling/performance/comfort/reliability ?
i've never driven a newer one and was just curious how they stand up?

My first car was an E30 and I loved it to death, now that I drive an E36 there are some things that are different and some the same. I would say the E36 gets me more looks at school, it has more power (but power can be modified easily) and generally the E36 is more comfortable, on the flip side the E30 was WAY more fun to drive, handled much better (it was lighter) and E30's have a huge aftermarket. The biggest difference is probably going to be price. Nice E30's are a heck of a lot cheaper than nice E36's.

So I have seen most e30 owners have a lot hate relationship with their car. (love to drive but hate that it is never done). I drove a e36 It ws comfortable but i like the feel of the e30 better. Like it said above the aftermarket is huge.

i love E30's they were the first BMW i drove and i loved them, but IMO id have to say they arent comparable to either the e36 or e46, now the M cars is a differnet story i have to say the true-est M3 is the E30.

o for sure the e30 m3 seems to be highly sought after ,as soon as ones for sale, bang its gone!it sure seems like the e30 is lighter ,and i think they really "yuppysised"the newer ones,i had a tremclad light blue 88 325is and it smoked 2 newer 325is's one on the 400,and one on the streets of cambridge(you know who you are)so im thinking maybe newer isn't better.....but i can't drive an old car forever.....gonna have to buy something newer someday.......

how about you z3 owners, those things are starting to get within my price range?the 4 of course, who doesn't want an m roadster?
the reason im asking is im gonna have to sell this car soon(it attracts too much negative attention ie.cops)i'll either go with the slleeper look e-30 or something a little newer.theres no way i can bring this car back to its original look(cut the bumpers off).

E30 models are lighter, more nimble, and quicker reflexes so the handling is King. It is truly a benchmark which every other car company tried to duplicate but never imitate. You see alot of E30's tracked cus they have unbelievable handling characteristics.

e30s have a larger aftermarket? maybe if you're ordering stuff off the net, as for an in store aftermarket you pretty much wont find anything for the e30.. you'll have to be ordering everything
