upcoming E60 M5 is already in trouble with competition from Audi........

The E39 M5 was beaten in most car magazine tests, by the Audi RS6 and E55 by MB. But the new E60 M5 won't be king of the hill either. Why, because Audi's new generation A6 is getting a 5.5L V10 engine from the Lamborghini Gallardo!

So, both the E60 M5 and the new upcoming Audi A6 will have V10 motors. If you ask me, I'd take a Lamborghini V10 any day over a BMW one.
What do you guys think about this?

well i'll take the audi v10 becasue it's awd right? so it will have some traction but e65 nah No traction, ppl with e55 saying that it has way too much torque which as you said is unessecery 90% of all the time....and dont forget winter lol that must be pain in the ass....But i think it's a good idea v10 + AWD... right now i'm passing on e55 just because of the winter....now i'm thinking weather to go with cayenne turbo slightly used or maybe just an sti for every day use, but i defenetly not taking e65

you're worried about torque and you are looking into purchasing a cayenne turbo?, that thing has some torque if I recall, even though it 4wd, the cayenne will be spinning in circles if you give it a little gas in the winter

Nah with winter tyres it's perfectly fine...i test drove one and if you dont push it there's almost no boost, and it's just like driving cayenne S 4.5 v8 it's a nice car but expensive tho...dunno i still want an sti for some unkown reason lol. Havnt test drove one tho.

And low 13s 1/4 and cheap mods! Easy to get into 12s but no high speed acceleration, but then again who needs it in Canada

I thought the M5 accelerated faster than the E55 and the RS6? I remember watching that one vid with the M5 vs those cars and the M5 won in straight line acceleration. If I remember correctly, it was a long time ago

Gallardo engine:

Type : V-10 90 degree, 18 degree crankpin offset, light-alloy block, mid mounted (longitudal), permantent four-wheel drive with viscous traction system
Cyl. Capacity : 4961 cc
Compr. ratio : 11.0:1
Max. power : 500 bhp (367 kW) at 7800 rpm
Max. torque : 510 Nm at 4500 rpm

So power is close to M5, but the M5 will be RWD, and the audi, AWD, so duncha think the M5 will be faster?

Lambo owners will be very pissed.
I dont think it is true, cause price on Audi RS6 will be ridiculous.

But Id take CL65 over anything made by BMW or Audi.
And when some askes me what i drive, Ill say V12 BiTurbo 608hp and 723 lb/ft.
