99 M3
I'm thinking of trading in my '03 330i with absolutly no options! and that is auto! for a fully loaded (minus auto seats) 1999 M3. Any thoughts? good car? if i do get it the first mod would be to change all the lights to euro and to get those xenons projectors (name?!)

I'd rather have an ///M too.
P.S. don't change the steering wheel it looks hot. If you do I'll grab if off you for a reasonable price

Please tell me that you know a place that sells a retrofit for those steering wheels? last time I asked around those will not fit on the e36 even the m coupe.
btw, go with the 99 m3 you will not be dissapointed.

but on the 99 M5's or even the 540i with the M package had the same steering wheel in the M3, now the 2003's have the same wheel in the new M3's so i can't imagine why it wouldnt be compatible

Personally I'd do it.
Regarding the steering wheel I think I remember seeing a conversion for a steering wheel similar to that, I just don't remember where. It wasn't the e46 M3 steering wheel though, it was a european wheel, it had that smaller airbag center though, and no buttons on the wheel aside from the horns.
