Dusted a late model 5 series and two ford focus

Raced em on the freeway. Focus thought 100 mph was goin' fast. 5 series guy thought that tailing me @ 80mph was going to take me out. Racing on the freeway isn't cool, I should probably know better, but no that'll teach to respect e30's.

Looked to be either 2002-2003 528i or 540i wagon. Couldn't tell b/c the car never got in front of me. The focus's were even more hilarious. The guy actually thought that he would just be able to gas it and he would pull away from me. I normally don't race people, but annoying people that tailgate me for miles deserve a taste of their own medicine. At least after they "tasted it", they backed off and I returned to normal freeway speeds.

Look, all I can tell you is what I know. Late model 5 series headlights behind me, tailgaiting me in fact (angel eyes, demon eyes, I don't know the difference and really don't care). We hit the on ramp to the H-3 Freeway off Mokapu Blvd. No cops on the straight away and I hit. I punched it went through 3rd, 4th and into 5th at about 6 grand a piece. My car is highly modded, spent about 6 grand if not more on her total. When the car hit about 130mph, I started to slow down because of left hand bank that goes up a hill, went through the bank at 120 mph, hit the gas coming out of the bank and saw the lights coming again, by this time we were both starting to back off. The 5er turned off and returned home to the Leeward side. I can tell you I don't know if what year the car was, but it looked like it could have been a 5er wagon, because I did see luggage racks.

Bone stock, me and an E39 528i 5-speed were DEAD EVEN, from about 60km/h (apex of the on-ramp) all the way up to 210. It was funny, our fenders were lined up perfectly the whole time.

540i's are another story. 282hp + slippery aero figure.

Normally when people put a close tail on me it means one of two things. Either it's the cops checking to see if everything is current or it's some idiot who wants to race. The fact that the guy tried to catch up gives me the impression that he wanted to race. As I have said in the past, it was a 5 series wagon, and for all intents and purposes. without software, with the money that I have put into my car, I should be able to take em. Why, simple answer would be the hp/torque to weight ratio, and the simple fact that most Bosch/Seimens systems will tend to lean out, and retard @ higher rpms. I have one in my ford truck which was manufactered in 2003 and experienced the same thing until I put a Diablo Chip in. As for the SVT, it probably experienced the aforementioned. To summarize, I have no problem @ higher rpms and speeds because of the mods that I have done to the car. Both cars, if stock, could make higher speeds, but would probably take longer to do so than my car. As I have said before, all I saw were demon/angel eyes, so I cannot identify the model type, but I do know that it was a late model 5 series wagon.

guys chill out we all know that a 540 would demolish any E30 325 but I could see a 528/530 being a nice match up with his car

R U Sure about that? There is a guy that posts on here that goes by the monicker of 89325iturbo. His car delivers 265-270rwhp @ 11 lbs of boost. I think he could probably more than handle a 540, especially one without mods. The 280 or so hp is measured from the crank and probably measures out to about 238 hp @ the wheels as well as a significant decrease in torque. The other factor is hp to weight.
