X5 4.6is rims question

1 of my boys likes the 4.6is rims from the X5 and is wondering if they would fit on a e39 540i?? If so,does anyone have a e39 with those rims??

well i dont think so, they are wide my friends e39 had m5 rims and it was rubbing, archies 540 with 20 was rubbing tyres too ( until he didnt put m5 fenders i think) and it's not as wide,X5 4.6 has 315 tyres at the back!!!

My buddy has current m5 rims on his 540i without any rubbing issues.

So even if you rolled the fenders the 4.6 rims wouldnt fit?? what size are they,19.....9.5 in the front and 10.5 in the back??

i know they are 20" 275 front 315 rear that's all i know!

The X5 4.6is 20" wheels will not fit an E39 without a LOT of trouble. The front wheels have the wrong offset and the rear wheels are too wide. The X5 tires are not even close (obviously).

You might get away with low profile tires(30) and fender work ... the wides i've heard of on e39 was 10" with 295

ehh thanks for the info everyone,i guess its a NO NO but damn those wheels would hella nice on a silver 540i.
