SRT/10 can only haul 500 lbs.

In the end you are paying for a fast pickup truck that has all the disadvantages of a pickup truck (ladder frame, barn-like aerodynamics, weight), but NONE of the advantages.

It's 50,000USD before dealership markup.

My truck was 28, 000 USD, can haul over 4500 lbs, meaning that it serves its purpose and justifies its price.

The SRT/10 motor is great, but it sounds like a vaccuum cleaner, and modifying it is expensive. Plus, its 500lbs heavier than the Lightning.

Obviously I take the Lightning's side, but not just because I own one. It does its job better.

...and you'd think with 500 hp, the truck would at least be in the 12's

P.S. For 50,000 USD I'd rather have an E46 M3 in Alpine Weisse!

Tony: SRT/10's run low 13's on street tires, high 12's on slicks at around 107-108 mph... (I really couldn't sink 20g USD into my truck lol, even a 10 second truck would cost only around 12-13USD hehehe)

Vlad: The rear suspension is setup so that the truck "handles and launches", but at the cost of payload.

^^^ Definitely the SRT/10 is a badass truck!

My only argument was that the Lightning is cheaper, but at that point we are arguing semantics

I would LOVE to drive one though!

No hate on the SRT/10 at all. That thing is a cool truck, but I'm a Ford guy at heart
