Drift and power slide is the same thing.

You can drift just one turn.
What a lot of people confuse drift with is fishtailing.
the difference is when you drift or powerslide you lose rear end when you enter the turn, with fishtailing, you lose rear end when you exit the turn.

I'm suprised that no one bought the fact up that this meet was very dangerous as to regulating the people at the parking lot..

I mean the lot was not that big, and there were often 3 people trying to drift around each others! Wasn't there also quite a lucky near miss as someone got close to T-boning Eurostyle? Or maybe it was someone else, but I remember a red car.

Compared to the Hershey Center meet, it was one person per a humongous lot. And there was even no snow. I wonder why.. Maybe because there were more mature people present? (Bill Gates, WhadUp)

That is why I went last because honestly you never know where the other person on the lot wants to go, or if he anticipates some kind of movement from the other guy.

I gotta rant because on the way there, I almost got squeesed by this idiot whose lane was ending..

please play it safe..

i know, thats why i'm sad for NOT having a LSD!

Sickfinga, Drifting is technically defined as MORE THAN ONE TURN without any traction, check it out on some of the JAP forums!

You can't just drift one turn!
Thats why FWD cars cannot DRIFT!
they can just powerslide!

drifting is when you get the car to lose traction near the braking point before a turn...THEN using throttle/steering input to keep it going thru the corner... powersliding on the other hand is when you use power to kick the tail out...you're not gonna hit the gas when you're suppose to brake are ya?

you CAN drift through one turn.

and AZN_e46 is kinda right. Powerslide is just one of the way to drift.

Once again, drifting is when you lose traction when you enter and exit the turn.

i always thought drifting was just that... drifting.. as in the tires lose traction and the car just slides, sure theres different types of drifting like powerslides but isnt drifting just the general thing?

ps post some pics from the meet

FF can't drift nor powerslide. They just ass-drag

I wish I could have gone, but I worked till 8, then went and picked up my VLSD Can't wait to install it!! Peg leg sliding is gh3y

Oh ya, Terry, you should definatly do another one. Even though I suck in parking lots... streets are where its at, but I don't like them that much... and all the snow is melting...

They can drift.
Run a really stiff swaybar or springs in the back, or increase tire pressure a lot.
