HELP: ABS / ASC Lights On Dash

Hi Guys,

I have my car serviced a few months ago when i bought it, by a mechanic (who does know bmws very well) and after he put new brakes on the car, when i picked the car up the abs light and asc lights on the dash were on, i didnt have time to leave it there again for x amount of days, so i just stuck with it. What could be causing this problem, i assume the ASC light/error is on because of the ABS? ASC needs ABS in order to work? Might it just be an ABS sensor or something that needs to be reset?

Any ideas or suggestions as to what i can do?

oh yeah the car is a 1998 BMW 323isa

ABS wheel sensor sounds right, maybe it was pulled out or damaged while changing the brakes.

Yeah ABS wheel sensor.
It is in the same box as the brake pad sensor.

thanks guys, at least i know thats not too much $$$ i will tell my mech to look.
