brake lining light

The brake lining light comes on in my car lately ONLY when I apply the brakes? I know the pads are good because I have replaced them myself recently. I thought thats what that light was for? Can anyone shed some light? Cheers!

check the sensors, they may be loose or the wires may have fallen apart

the light comes on when the sensor is grounded out...so check it and make sure its in the right place and not touching any metal that its not supposed to
