Turbgo setup Question

If you were to do a turbo Project
Which
1: manifold would you want?
a: complete tubing
b: add-on piece from OEM Manifolds

2: which Turbo would you Use?

3: How much you think it would all cost?

4:Would you go for a ready built Kit"At the right Price"

Thanks

A lot of those questions depend on what kind of power out-puts you want from your car. Obviously you know that a custom tubular manifold is going to flow, and work a little better then a adapter. Most people use adapters though, and they work really well from what people say. As for a turbo a good size is a T3/T4 hybrid B, or E series. There capable of making lots of power with little lag. You could build your own set-up using new parts for probably $2,000 maybe a little more, and run 10-12psi. As with most cars though higher amounts of boost, are going to cost more. As far as a ready built kit, i probably wouldn't go that route unless the price was really right.

well,

I'm doing custom manifold and custom tuning.

I'm looking for a T28 for a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R - wastegate for 10 psi.

I'm using a Link aftermarket engine management system (runs a MAP sensor so you'll free up some power by getting rid of AFM and not have any timing worries) , very cheap and very good for what it is.. only $1000 kiwi .. around $600 Canadian.

All up the pricing is like this.

$2000 ish for ECU and ECU install and tune.
$200 - 300 for IC
$400 - 600 for manifold
$?? not sure on tubing or exhaust yet.

Injectors and stuff i'm undecided.

I've budgeted $4000 all up for a proper job thats around $2500 canadian.

edit: Power goal is 120 kW at wheels.. currently on my 320 its 63 kW and 190 Nm of torque at wheels.

geta 524td manifold fron ebay or a junkyard, for more more that 200, or chop the y-pipe off at the bottom and have the turbo welded on an go from there, you can get bendable tubing at a store like pepboys and use clamps or have some one weld it up, the tubing is like 30 dollars, you can get the air filter off ebay for 15 and the bov for 70 , thats is a very chea and good way to get alot of power, get your turbo off ebay to, i recoment a t garret t4, anything big will work fine, the turbo can be from any car just about, i buy the as cheap at 50 dollare for a decent working turbo.

you bought turbos on ebay, for your e30? man you put twin turbos on an m3 that you bought on ebay that are good for $100 for the pair, that make 800hp?! i smell..........i smell BS! you wont get a good turbo for even $100. if you do the shaft will be worn out, and need rebuilding. do the job right the first time and buy new parts, it will save you money in the end.

I wouldn't get the 524td manifold takes more work then you think to fit it right, and second its harder to make some kind of an adapter for an external wastegate on it, and you shoiuld get an external wastegate for anything bigger then a T3. I would atleast buy a new turbo. You can buy used intercooler, and be fine.
