i think it's split up...so that most of the power is still in the rear wheels..but like 23% is in the front wheels...this way you still get that performance edge (which is expected when driving a bmw )

Hey GWD, I didn`t think that M3 rims fit on an E46 sedan or coupe. Did you have to do anything special to get them on there

You cannot fit the rears (255 width) on the non M3 E46 unless you roll the fenders. Mine are replicas of M3 fronts (235 width)
